Role Overview

Discus Business Solutions is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with a strong

background in Core ABAP development. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-

on experience in designing, developing, and supporting SAP applications, with a focus on

high-quality, scalable solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

 Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP programs including reports,

interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

 Work extensively on Core ABAP concepts such as Data Dictionary, ALV Reports,

Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Modulepool, BAPIs,



BDC, and User Exits.

 Analyze functional specifications and translate them into technical designs.

 Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand

requirements and deliver solutions.

 Perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs.

 Handle debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

 Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and development standards.

 Support implementation, upgrade, and maintenance projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (Core ABAP mandatory).

 Strong expertise in:

o Reports (Classical & Interactive)

o ALV (OO ALV preferred)

o Data Dictionary (Tables, Views, Indexes)

o Smart Forms / SAP Scripts

o Module pool Programming

o BDC, BAPI, RFC, IDocs

 Good understanding of modularization techniques and performance optimization.

 Experience with enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework).

 Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

 Familiarity with SAP modules like FI, MM, SD is a plus.
