Role Description The Freelance Inventory Auditor will conduct on-site inventory audits at client locations in Uttar Pradesh, India. This is a freelance, in office role that involves physically verifying stock levels, comparing recorded data with actual inventory, and identifying discrepancies. Day-to-day tasks include checking product quantities and conditions, validating documentation, preparing concise audit reports, and sharing findings with client representatives or Matrix coordinators. The role may also require following standardized audit checklists, adhering to client timelines,



and maintaining clear communication with the Matrix team regarding schedules and audit outcomes. The position is suitable for professionals who are comfortable working in field environments and managing assignments independently.
Qualifications

- Ability to perform accurate inventory counting, verification, and reconciliation using checklists and basic tools.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify, document, and explain inventory variances.
- Basic proficiency in using spreadsheets or inventory software, and in preparing clear, structured audit reports.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with client staff and Matrix coordinators on-site.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills to handle multiple audit assignments and meet deadlines.
- Comfort with on-site field work, including travel within Uttar Pradesh as required by client locations.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor's degree in commerce, business, or a related field is an advantage.
- Prior experience in inventory audit, stock verification, retail operations, or warehousing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated integrity, adherence to audit guidelines, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client data.
