We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Junior Tekla Detailer in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the structural steel detailing and engineering sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. Key Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing assembly, single-part, and erection drawings for structural steel projects.

- Extract and prepare drawings from Tekla models according to approved project samples and standards.

- Revise fabrication and erection drawings accurately based on checker comments and project feedback.

- Prepare and support the generation of NC files, DXF files, BOMs, and associated project reports.

- Coordinate with Tekla modelers to identify and resolve detailing-related issues.

- Interpret structural and architectural drawings to support accurate steel detailing.

- Maintain consistency, clarity, and professional presentation across project drawings.

- Follow established detailing procedures, quality requirements, and documentation standards.

Required Skills

- Tekla Structures: Practical experience using Tekla for structural steel detailing and drawing extraction.

- Steel Detailing: Understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection detailing requirements.

- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read structural and architectural drawings accurately.

- Fabrication Documentation: Knowledge of assembly drawings, single-part drawings,



erection drawings, BOMs, NC files, and DXF files.

- Drawing Quality: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain drawing consistency and documentation discipline.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Australian structural steel detailing projects.

- Familiarity with steel fabrication documentation workflows.

- Ability to coordinate effectively with modelers and checkers on detailing issues.

Work Experience Requirements

The position requires 1–3 years of Tekla detailing experience. Candidates should have practical exposure to fabrication and erection drawings and experience working with structural and architectural documentation. Exposure to Australian steel detailing projects is required by the supplied job description.

Education

Minimum: Typical qualification — Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering
Preferred: Typical — Relevant Tekla/structural steel detailing training or certification

Requirements
Robust hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models, Piping Isometrics, GA drawings, and Piping Layouts. In-depth knowledge of Piping BOM, MTO, and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID; for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
