We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Senior Tekla Detailer in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our client is seeking skilled, motivated professionals with strong expertise in structural and miscellaneous steel detailing. The role owns end-to-end detailing deliverables, ensuring drawings are accurate, constructible, and submission-ready. If you meet the requirements below, apply early as positions are limited.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and finalize complex assembly, single-part, and erection drawings using Tekla.

- Review detailing outputs to ensure accuracy, constructability, clarity, and submission readiness.

- Resolve detailing RFIs in coordination with modelers and checkers.

- Prepare complete fabrication and erection drawing packages.

- Generate NC files, DXF files, BOMs, and required submission reports.

- Detail complex structural and miscellaneous steel components in accordance with project requirements.

- Guide junior detailers and ensure adherence to established drawing standards.

- Maintain quality ownership while delivering assigned packages within tight project deadlines.

Required Skills

- Tekla Structures: Strong hands-on capability in producing detailed fabrication and erection deliverables.

- Structural Steel Detailing: Ability to handle complex structural steel detailing requirements independently.

- Miscellaneous Steel Detailing: Experience detailing miscellaneous steel elements as part of fabrication packages.

- Australian Projects:



Previous experience working on Australian steel detailing projects.

- Fabrication Outputs: Proficiency in generating NC, DXF, BOM, assembly, single-part, and erection deliverables.

Preferred Skills

- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection requirements.

- Experience mentoring or guiding junior detailers.

- Strong RFI resolution and drawing coordination capability.

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates should have 4–8+ years of Tekla detailing experience, with experience working on Australian steel detailing projects. Robust exposure to complex structural and miscellaneous steel projects is required, along with the ability to independently manage detailing deliverables under tight deadlines.

Education

- Minimum: Typical qualification — Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering

- Preferred: Typical — relevant Tekla/structural detailing training or certification

Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models, Piping Isometrics, GA drawings, and Piping Layouts. In-depth knowledge of Piping BOM, MTO, and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID; for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
