Hub Manager- Wealth Management
Location: Bangalore & Chennai

About the Role
We are looking for a senior wealth-business leader who can manage a wealth-focused hub as a business leader, combining HNI/Super HNI wealth expertise, AUM and revenue ownership, branch governance and along with the ability to manage Branch Managers and senior wealth professionals.
This is not a conventional Cluster Head- Branch Banking role. It is a specialist wealth leadership role combining wealth management, branch governance, business development and people management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Wealth Business & AUM Growth
- Drive the overall Wealth AUM growth of the hub.
- Deliver business targets across AUM, revenue, investments, acquisition and product penetration.
- Drive acquisition of HNI and Super HNI clients, with the primary acquisition focus starting at approximately 50 lakh+ relationship size.
- Develop and deepen relationships with affluent and HNI clients, including larger relationships extending into 10 Cr, 15 Cr, 20 Cr+ segments.
- Increase penetration of wealth products across the existing client base as well as newly acquired clients.
- Drive SA, Mutual Funds, Term Deposits and other wealth/investment products to improve wallet share and AUM.
- Focus on building high-value relationships rather than a high-volume mass-market client base.
2. Revenue & Sales Leadership
- Drive achievement of revenue, investment and overall business targets for the hub.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximise revenue through:
- Wealth Management products
- Savings Accounts
- Term Deposits
- Investment products
- Asset-related products, including secured and unsecured solutions
- Generate new business through market visits, client meetings, sales initiatives, presentations and branch-led opportunities.
- Participate actively in business planning and translate targets into actionable plans for the team.
- Monitor business performance across AUM, NTB acquisition, revenue, SA, investments and insurance.
3. Team & People Management
- Lead and develop a large, multi-functional team of approximately 45 employees.
- Manage senior stakeholders/direct reports including Branch Managers, Service Manager, RM Directors and Operations Manager.
- Coach and mentor Relationship Managers,
Wealth Managers and other sales professionals.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, business reviews and performance reviews.
- Identify capability gaps within the team and implement appropriate development and coaching interventions.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on client acquisition, AUM growth, revenue and service quality.
- Manage team growth, productivity and attrition effectively.
4. Branch & Hub Management
- Manage the overall performance and governance of multiple branches within the hub.
- Balance branch governance responsibilities with a strong wealth-business focus.
- Ensure effective coordination between branch, wealth, service and operations teams.
- Drive customer up-streaming and migration of suitable clients into the appropriate wealth segments.
- Improve product-per-customer, client penetration and overall business productivity.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the wealth business and improve overall hub performance.
5. Client Management & Wealth Advisory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HNI and Super HNI clients.
- Understand client needs and ensure appropriate wealth management solutions are offered.
- Support senior RMs/Wealth Managers in managing complex and high-value relationships.
- Handle critical or escalated customer situations and ensure high-quality resolution.
- Ensure a consistently high level of customer experience and service.
6. Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to the bank's regulatory, internal control, compliance, mis-selling and sales policies.
- Maintain strong governance standards across branches and wealth teams.
- Ensure transactions and processes are completed accurately and within defined guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate approvals and authorities are obtained for concessions, fees, charges and other exceptions.
- Minimise audit observations, process deviations, customer complaints and transaction rejections.
- Ensure adherence to laid-down processes and promote first-time-right / first-time resolution.
- Take responsibility for relevant reconciliation,
control and operational activities.
- Ensure continuous focus on risk management and regulatory compliance.

The success of the Hub Manager will primarily be measured through:
- Overall Wealth AUM growth
- HNI / Super HNI client acquisition
- NTB acquisition
- Revenue generation
- Investment and wealth product penetration
- SA growth
- Client wallet share / product-per-customer
- Team productivity and target achievement
- Client retention and up-streaming
- Customer experience and service quality
- Compliance, governance and audit performance
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15-22 years of overall experience, preferably with substantial experience in wealth management / affluent banking / HNI business.
- Strong track record of managing HNI / Super HNI relationships and wealth business.
- Experience in boutique wealth management firms, recent-generation NBFCs, established NBFCs, private banks or multinational banks.
- Proven experience in leading senior Relationship Managers / Wealth Managers and branch teams.
- Experience managing a larger team and sizeable AUM/business portfolio.
- Strong understanding of wealth products, investments, AUM, revenue generation and client acquisition.
- Excellent communication, relationship management and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to drive both business growth and governance.
- Should be comfortable managing both people and business, rather than operating purely as an individual wealth sales professional.
Important Distinction: Hub Manager vs. Cluster Head
This position should not be considered a conventional Cluster Head / Branch Cluster role.
A traditional Cluster Head role is primarily focused on branch governance and people management, whereas this Hub Manager position requires a combination of:
Wealth Management + HNI Client Business + AUM Growth + Branch Governance + People Leadership + Sales & Revenue.
The incumbent is expected to understand and lead a wealth-focused business, including relationships significantly above the typical affluent/branch banking segment.
