About The Job:

- The End User Computing Specialist is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting modern workplace solutions with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and cloud-managed endpoints.
- This role ensures secure, scalable, and user-friendly device management across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms, while driving adoption of Up-to-date Desktop practices.

Essential Job Functions:
Device Management & Modern Desktop

- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Intune configurations for endpoint management.
- Lead or support Modern Desktop migrations (SCCM to Intune / co-management / cloud-native).
- Deploy and manage Autopilot provisioning (user-driven, pre-provisioning, self-deploying).
- Configure and maintain compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines.
- Manage Windows Update for Business (WUfB) policies including rings, feature updates, and driver updates.

Application Management
- Package and deploy applications using:

- Win32 apps (IntuneWin format).
- Microsoft Store apps (new and legacy).
- Line-of-business (LOB) apps.
- Create detection rules, requirements, and remediation scripts.
- Implement application lifecycle management (updates, supersedence, retirement).

Security & Identity Integration
- Work with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for device identity and access.
- Configure Conditional Access policies related to endpoint compliance.
- Support Endpoint Security policies:

- Attack Surface Reduction (ASR).
- Disk encryption (BitLocker/FileVault).
- Defender for Endpoint integration.
- Implement and monitor device compliance reporting.

Scripting & Automation
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for:

- Proactive remediations.
- Custom compliance checks.
- App deployment enhancements.




- Automate operational tasks and reporting via Graph API where needed.

Endpoint Lifecycle & Operations
- Manage the full lifecycle of devices:

- Provisioning → Configuration → Maintenance → Retirement.
- Provide Tier 3 support for endpoint-related incidents and escalations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to:

- Policy deployment.
- App installations.
- Enrollment (Autopilot, AAD join, hybrid join).

Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor Intune service health and deployment status.
- Generate reports on:

- Device compliance.
- Patch status.
- Application deployment success.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve endpoint posture.

Entra ID & Intune Access / Roles

Microsoft Intune Roles

- Intune Administrator

- Full control over:

- Device configuration profiles.
- Compliance policies.
- Application deployment.
- Windows Update policies.
- Autopilot profiles.
- Endpoint Security Manager

- Manage security baselines and endpoint protection policies.

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Roles
- User Administrator

- Manage users and group membership (dynamic and assigned) used for Intune targeting.

Additional Access Considerations
- Microsoft Graph API permissions.
- Defender for Endpoint access.
- SCCM Administrator.
- Software Central Administrator.
- T2 account with local administrator rights on all Windows 11 devices.
- ScreenConnect access to all devices on all instances.
- Apple Business Manager Device and Content Manager.

Qualifications:
- Exp: 12-15 years

Core Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in:

- Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Windows 10/11 enterprise management
- Strong experience with:

- Autopilot deployment profiles
- Intune configuration profiles (Settings Catalog, templates)
- Compliance policies and Conditional Access
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting (advanced level)

Platform Knowledge
- Windows device management (primary focus)
- macOS and mobile device management (iOS/Android) – desirable
- Experience with:





- SCCM / MECM (co-management scenarios)
- Group Policy (GPO) → Intune migration

Security & Best Practices
- Knowledge of:

- Zero Trust principles
- Endpoint security hardening
- Microsoft security stack (Defender suite)

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft certifications (e.g.):

- Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102 or equivalent)
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Experience with:

- Windows Update for Business deployment service (WUfB DS)
- Driver and firmware management via Intune
- Enterprise-scale device migrations
- Familiarity with ITIL processes

Soft Skills

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking
- Ability to work across teams (EUC, Security, Infrastructure)
- Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Structured, process-driven approach to problem solving
