This role is based at our Hyderabad Tech Center and follows a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Candidates are expected to reside within commuting distance of the Hyderabad office.

Role Overview

The Master Data Steward – Data Sustainment (Identification) is responsible for end-to-end stewardship and sustainment of material master data for fully finished products and lower-level components, including production BOM structures.

This role manages Mosaic requests on a daily basis to create, maintain, update, and phase out material master data. It coordinates sustainment activities across cross-functional stakeholders including Transfer Pricing (TP), Costing (COSI), and Financial Supply Chain (FSC) teams, and monitors ongoing material maintenance activities such as FSC-driven changes, vendor transitions, and ad-hoc requests routed through the master data technology solutions team.

The steward ensures data integrity, compliance with business rules, and timely execution of sustainment processes to support commercial operations and regulatory requirements.

What will you do in this role

Receive, triage, and prioritize Mosaic requests for creation, extension, maintenance, and phase-out of material master data

Coordinate end-to-end material master data setup and sustainment activities with TP, COSI, and FSC teams

Monitor and manage material master data maintenance, including:

FSC-driven changes

Vendor transitions

Product lifecycle updates

Ad-hoc sustainment requests

Validate data accuracy and completeness for material master and BOM structures

Ensure compliance with data quality rules and governance standards

Maintain and update process documentation, SOPs, and checklists





Identify recurring data issues and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive actions

Provide regular reporting and KPIs on request volumes, cycle times, backlog, and data quality

Train and guide stakeholders on material sustainment policies and submission processes

Proven collaborator with experience coordinating cross-functional teams

Strong focus on data quality, governance, and accuracy

Organized and proactive, able to manage multiple concurrent requests

Strong systems knowledge (SAP MDG, ERP tools, ticketing systems)

Excellent communication skills with ability to manage stakeholder expectations

Strong problem-solving capability and structured approach

Continuous improvement mindset

What should you have

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Management, Supply Chain, or related field — or equivalent experience

7+ years’ experience in master data management, product data sustainment, or related operations

Familiarity with product identification processes and product lifecycle management preferred

Hands-on experience with SAP master data processes and tools (e.g., SAP MDG, MM03, SE16 and relevant T-codes)

Proven experience in material master data management / data sustainment

Strong understanding of product structures, including finished products and lower-level components (e.g., BOM)

Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., TP, COSI, FSC, commercial, IT)

Excellent attention to detail with strong focus on data quality, accuracy, and governance

Ability to manage multiple requests in parallel, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines

Robust communication and stakeholder management skills in English (written and verbal)

Proven ability to validate data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify issues and drive resolution
