We are seeking an experienced VMware System Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 7-12 years of experience in managing and maintaining VMware infrastructure. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, and virtual machines
- Monitor and troubleshoot VMware infrastructure performance issues, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and support virtual infrastructure for various business applications
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
- Participate in project planning and implementation
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 7-12 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management
- Expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
- Experience with VMware Horizon View and vRealize Operations Manager
- Robust knowledge of virtual networking, storage, and security
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions for virtual infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
