Team Lead - AQV Department None Position Summary Position Team Lead Department GAC – SPOD Reporting To Sector Lead/Associate Director Location Pune Role Summary As part of the GAC Analytic Quality Validation (AQV) team, this position will be in a dual role supporting analytical activities of AQV and be a people leader for GAC AQV team. AQV is a 2 nd line of defense function for S&P; Ratings.
Functional
Responsibility / Domain Related Provide oversight, direction, analytical/value-added guidance to the employees in the operating unit in their day-to-day operations. Supervise the workflow and resources to effectively accomplish tasks/deliverables and ensure optimized utilization and productivity of team. Take complete responsibility for client delivery - quality, timeliness and completeness.
Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output. Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor and ensure smooth running of the operations. Ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures of the organization.
Client
Management / Stakeholder Management Develop cordial and trust-based relationship with international clients and own team, and fully own the service delivery of client requests. Work closely with clients/relevant stakeholders to understand their project requirements, design, develop and deliver intelligence and efficient solutions by utilizing the team People Development Manage a team of Analysts, Senior Analysts and Lead Analysts. Assist in enhancing performance, engagement and skill development of the team.
Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing recent employee onboarding and contributing to career development planning and performance reviews. Plan resource requirements and develop successor or back-up planning.
Assist in managing the aspirations of team members and create an environment of continuous improvement.
Individual Contribution
Supporting the S&P; Ratings Review Officers and Sector Lead Analysts on Regulatory Reviews across Corporates, Infrastructure, Financial Services, Structured Finance and Public Finance domains Perform relevant industry/sector specific research and synthesize, interpret, and analyze results to identify key credit trends and sector risks. Assist in performing macro tests, including identifying the relevant data sources, extracting/gathering the relevant information, evaluating the specific analytic attributes. Draft the sections of the Monitoring report including key takeaways of the ratings performance metrics, industry/sector trends and risks, summary of the analysis of macro tests etc.
Present the insights and analysis from the Monitoring report to Review Officer/Sector Lead Analyst Lead key S&P; initiatives/projects Essential Qualification MBA or equivalent Experience Experience of eight or more years of relevant experience in financial services industry; Operations or Sales/Marketing divisions of firms would be an added advantage. Proven experience of leading teams and global client management Skills Good interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills. Excellent organizational and leadership skills and drive to achieve outcomes under stringent timelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); Knowledge of automation and use/scope of new technologies such as R, Python, Tableau etc. to guide the team, are a plus.
