JOB DESCRIPTION – CNC PROGRAMMER

Position: CNC Programmer
Location: Waluj, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra
Experience: 5 to 10 Years
CTC: ₹4.20 LPA to ₹4.80 LPA
Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer who can independently handle CNC programming, machine setup, tooling, process development, and production support. The candidate should have strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and the ability to troubleshoot machining-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify CNC programs as per component drawings and production requirements.
- Prepare CNC programs for different machining operations.
- Set machine parameters, tool offsets, work offsets, and cutting conditions.
- Perform machine setup and ensure proper job changeover.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and machining specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, and machining parameters.
- Optimize CNC programs to improve cycle time, productivity, and tool life.
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary program corrections.
- Identify and troubleshoot machining, dimensional, and programming issues.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality departments for process improvement.
- Ensure components are produced as per required dimensions and quality standards.
- Maintain CNC programs, tool lists, setup sheets,



and other process documentation.
- Follow company safety procedures, 5S, and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement and reduce rejection, rework, and machine downtime.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes.
- Good knowledge of CNC machine operations and setup.
- Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code.
- Knowledge of tool selection, cutting parameters, and tool offsets.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.;
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of CNC programming/editing and process optimization.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle production pressure.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical or relevant technical qualification.

Preferred Experience

- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Experience in an automotive, engineering, or precision manufacturing environment will be preferred.
- Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controllers will be an advantage.

Compensation

₹4.20 LPA to ₹4.80 LPA, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.
