Job Description

Role Overview

This role is the market-facing voice of QAD's Manufacturing Intelligence platform’s capabilities. You will own the messaging, positioning, pricing narrative, and thought leadership for a portfolio that spans foundational platform infrastructure, Data Platform, Intelligence and autonomous, AI-driven manufacturing operations.

This is a strategic marketing role, you will work directly with Product Managers to shape how capabilities are positioned and priced, with Sales and Customer Success to ensure the market narrative drives pipeline and adoption, and with leadership to craft the thought leadership presence that establishes QAD as the definitive AI platform for manufacturing.

Enablement execution - building and distributing sales assets, maintaining collateral, and running internal training sits with Product Operations. Your relationship with Product Ops is a tight one: you set the message, define the positioning bar, and review for accuracy. Product Ops packages and operationalises it.

The ideal candidate has operated at the intersection of SaaS product marketing and enterprise AI — understands what makes a platform story compelling to a CIO or CFO/COO, can translate complex technical capabilities into sharp business value narratives, and has the commercial instinct to influence product and pricing decisions, not just communicate them.

The Chance

Generic AI copilots are being commoditised by Big Tech. The differentiation in manufacturing AI is not the model - it is domain intelligence, governed data, and the ability to execute decisions inside the ERP rather than recommend them from outside it. QAD's platform story is genuinely differentiated. The opportunity is to build the narrative that makes that differentiation land with buyers, analysts, and the market.

- Define and own QAD's AI and platform narrative — from high-level market positioning to the product-level messaging that Sales uses to close deals

- Establish QAD's thought leadership presence in manufacturing AI — through conference speaking, bylined content, and customer stories that demonstrate real platform impact

- Shape how QAD's platform capabilities are packaged and priced — contributing competitive intelligence, buyer insight, and value framing that inform decisions across the full portfolio

- Serve as the connective tissue between Product and Go-to-Market — ensuring what gets built is positioned correctly, and what is positioned is actually deliverable

Key Responsibilities:

Messaging & Positioning

- Own the messaging architecture for QAD's AI and platform portfolio — from platform-level narrative to capability-level proof points across AI Platform, Data & Intelligence platform, Integration Platform, Process Intelligence, and Enterprise Workflow Agents

- Develop and maintain the competitive positioning framework: how QAD differentiates from SAP, Microsoft, Infor, Epicor and horizontal AI platforms across buyer personas and deal contexts

- Partner with Product Managers to translate platform capabilities into business value narratives - grounded in product reality and resonant with manufacturing buyers, not just technical evaluators

- Define persona-specific messaging for the CIO evaluating platform architecture, the CFO & COO evaluating financial and operational outcomes, and the IT leader evaluating integration complexity

- Maintain message consistency across all external surfaces: website, sales collateral, conference materials, customer communications, and partner-facing content

Thought Leadership & Content

- Own QAD's thought leadership content strategy for AI and platform topics - bylined articles, conference speaking submissions, and executive point-of-view pieces that build category authority

- Develop customer case studies and reference stories that demonstrate measurable platform outcomes — working with Customer Success and key accounts to build evidence-based narratives

- Write and maintain website copy for AI and platform capability pages - balancing technical accuracy with the clarity that converts enterprise buyers

- Identify and pursue conference and analyst engagement opportunities that place QAD's AI platform narrative in front of manufacturing and technology decision-makers

- Build a content calendar aligned to product releases, market moments, and sales priorities - ensuring output compounds over time rather than reacts to requests

Pricing & Packaging

- Contribute to packaging and tiering strategy for the AI and platform portfolio: how capabilities are bundled, sequenced, and presented to different buyer segments

- Maintain competitive pricing intelligence across the relevant landscape - SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and emerging AI-native competitors and translate findings into actionable positioning and pricing guidance

- Translate pricing decisions into customer-facing value stories: ROI frameworks, total cost of ownership comparisons, and outcome-based narratives that justify platform investment to manufacturing CFOs

- Partner with Product on pricing model evolution: identifying where outcome-based or consumption-based models create more commercial leverage than seat-based licensing

Enablement Partnership

- Define the messaging framework, positioning bar, and accuracy standards that Product Ops uses to build sales collateral, battlecards, and objection-handling guides, review and approve before distribution

- Design the product launch narrative for new AI and platform capabilities: providing Product Ops with the positioning foundation needed to coordinate launch execution across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success

- Contribute to partner and system integrator-facing positioning: ensuring co-sell materials accurately reflect QAD's platform differentiation

- Be available as a subject matter resource for high-stakes deals and customer advisory sessions where Sales needs direct PMM support, not just collateral

Stakeholder Communication

- Drive proactive communication of platform positioning and market narrative to internal leadership — executive briefings, competitive updates, and message performance reviews for senior stakeholders

- Own customer-facing communications around major platform releases: capability announcements and change communications that maintain trust and set accurate expectations

- Serve as a credible platform marketing voice in customer advisory sessions and strategic account conversations, able to hold a substantive discussion about platform direction without reading from a deck
