Job Description: A Construction Store Keeper is the backbone of project logistics, responsible for receiving, organizing, and issuing building materials, heavy machinery, and tools. They ensure seamless site operations by maintaining strict inventory records, preventing material wastage, and enforcing site safety standards. [1, 2, 3] Key Responsibilities

- Material Receipt & Inspection: Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders (PO) and delivery notes to ensure accurate quantities and acceptable quality. [1]
- Inventory Control: Track daily inward and outward movement of materials, tools, and consumables using ERP software or Excel. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Storage & Organization: Systematically store materials in designated areas (bins, racks, or stockyards) to prevent damage, theft, or weather deterioration. [1, 2]
- Issuance & Replenishment: Issue supplies to site engineers and supervisors strictly against approved requisitions/indents. Monitor stock levels and flag reorder points to prevent project delays. [1, 2, 3]




- Reporting & Audits: Prepare weekly or monthly consumption and stock reconciliation reports for project managers and the accounts department. [1, 2]

Job Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Typically a High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or a certified vocational course in material/warehouse management.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or heavy industrial storage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, or MS Excel. Basic technical knowledge of construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, electrical, and plumbing) is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, physical fitness, effective communication, and problem-solving skills
