Job Description:

An IT officer provides technical support to users, installs and maintains hardware and software, and ensures the stability and security of an organization's IT systems. Key duties include troubleshooting issues, managing user accounts, performing system backups, and documenting procedures. This role requires strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Core responsibilities

- Provide technical support: Assist end-users with hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Install and configure: Set up and configure computer systems, software applications, and peripherals for new and existing users.
- Troubleshoot and maintain: Diagnose and resolve technical problems, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure system stability.
- Manage security: Monitor systems for security threats, implement security protocols, and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Document and report: Maintain accurate records of support tickets, system changes,



and IT procedures.
- Monitor performance: Track system performance and identify potential problems before they impact operations.

Required skills and qualifications
- Technical skills: Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS), hardware, software, and network protocols.
- Problem-solving: Ability to systematically troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for explicit and effective communication with users and team members.
- Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is often required.
