We are seeking a qualified Subcontract Engineer to manage subcontracting activities, vendor coordination, and outsourced manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, vendor management skills, and experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all subcontracting activities for mechanical components and assemblies
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/subcontractors
- Coordinate with production and design teams for job outsourcing requirements
- Review technical drawings and ensure vendor understanding and compliance
- Monitor quality, cost, and timely delivery of subcontracted jobs
- Resolve subcontractor issues and maintain smooth execution of orders
- Maintain subcontracting records and generate MIS reports
Candidate Profile:
- Education: BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 5–7 years in subcontracting or vendor management in machinery or related manufacturing industry
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and processes
- Valuable negotiation and coordination skills
- Familiarity with quality control standards and ERP systems
- Ability to handle multiple vendors and meet deadlines
