Job Description: A Field Operator for SID (Steel Industry) is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a steel production facility, ensuring safety and efficiency, and adhering to production plans. Key duties include controlling and monitoring equipment like pumps and compressors, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting, documenting operational data, and communicating with supervisors and control room operators. Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor equipment: Start up and shut down machinery, adjust settings, and monitor process parameters like pressure, flow, and temperature to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, and assist with repairs.
- Ensure safety: Strictly follow all safety procedures, health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) protocols, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Troubleshoot issues: Identify and resolve operational problems, often by investigating abnormal readings or deviations.
- Maintain production standards: Help achieve production targets by ensuring efficient use of raw materials and utilities, and by responding to alarms and process upsets.
- Document and report: Keep accurate records of production data, equipment performance,



and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively: Maintain clear and timely communication with supervisors, other field operators, and control room operators about equipment status and any issues.
