The CCM Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation and maintenance of the Continuous Casting Machine in a steel plant. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising casting activities to ensure smooth and efficient billet/slab production while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage all operations of the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM).

- Ensure efficient mould, tundish, and ladle operations for smooth steel casting.

- Monitor and control the casting sequence, heat tracking, and strand management.

- Plan and implement preventive and breakdown maintenance of CCM equipment.

- Coordinate with production, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure minimal downtime.

- Analyze process parameters and carry out process improvements for quality and yield.

- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and ensure zero-incident operations.





- Manage manpower scheduling, shift operations, and training of operational staff.

- Ensure quality standards of billets/slabs and manage rejection rates.

- Maintain records, logs, and reports related to production, maintenance, and quality.

- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualification:

- BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production / Electrical Engineering.

Key Skills:

- Expertise in CCM operations and maintenance.

- Solid leadership, problem-solving, and interdepartmental coordination skills.

- Familiarity with PLC/SCADA, hydraulics, and electromechanical system
