We are currently seeking an experienced Manual Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in manual testing and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products. The candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document and execute test cases based on product requirements and design specifications
- Identify, document and track software defects and work with the development team to ensure they are resolved
- Perform exploratory testing to identify issues that may not be covered by existing test cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet quality standards
- Participate in product design and requirement reviews to provide feedback on testability
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and issue resolution
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in manual testing
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in testing web-based and mobile applications
- Experience in writing explicit, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience in working with defect tracking tools such as JIRA
- Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ISTQB certification is a plus
