This role plays a critical part in enabling cost transparency, forecasting accuracy, and financial discipline across COGS and Manufacturing Overheads. It involves close collaboration with business teams including category managers, plant teams, and FP&A; leadership to support key deliverables around cost planning, reporting, analysis, and building digital capability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FP&A; – COGS
- COGS Period Closing:
Lead the monthly closure and validation of COGS including data integrity, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Rolling Forecast Submissions:
Ensure timely and accurate submission of rolling forecasts, incorporating key inputs from cross-functional stakeholders.
- R&O; (Risks & Opportunities) Reporting:
Identify and communicate cost risks and opportunities across the value chain in a structured manner.
- Polaris Reporting:
Support accurate and timely upload of COGS and MV (Material Variance) into Polaris, in alignment with FP&A; guidelines.
- Standard Cost Review & Reporting:
Drive discussions on standard cost assumptions and changes. Report performance vs standard cost and lead cost governance reviews.
- COGS Tool Enablement:
Champion the usage and continuous improvement of the internal COGS reporting tool for enhanced visibility, alignment, and control.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with HQ finance teams and participate in business/internal reviews to align on cost performance and outlook.
Manufacturing Overheads
- Overhead Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and analyze manufacturing overheads (by unit/category). Provide insights on key drivers and deviations.
- Bottler Cost Analysis:
Evaluate and track bottler manufacturing cost trends across units, identify variances, and report business implications.
- Unit-level Overhead Budgeting & Control:
Collaborate with plant finance teams for preparation of annual overhead budgets. Ensure actuals are tracked and aligned with budget through timely interventions.
- Budget Monitoring & Adherence:
Monitor budget vs actual monthly. Identify any overruns and drive cost containment measures.
- Quarterly Cadence Reviews:
Drive cadence-based review of overhead budgets, with actionable insights and early flagging of R&O.;

JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Chartered Accountant/ MBA
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6-9 years post qualification work experience, ideally including experience in a multinational FMCG company
- Should have at least 5 years’ experience in strategic / financial planning, forecasting and financial analytics
