What are we looking for

We are seeking a diligent and precise Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager - Mechanical Design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and error-free creation of drawings for equipment, line layouts, foundation layouts, and bills of materials, with a solid focus on continuous furnaces and heavy engineering.

Job Purpose:

- To ensure steady & timely completion of drawings of equipment.
- To prepare line layouts, foundation layouts, and assignments for structure and civil drawings.
- To prepare assemblies in 3D, and generate assembly and detail drawings.
- To prepare bills of materials for assemblies & sub-assemblies.

Key Result Areas:

- Timely completion of drawings.
- Drawings and BOMs made with very less or no errors.
- Self Development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning of drawings according to the requirement.
- Timely completion of drawings.
- Prepare the Line Layouts, foundation layouts using the available inputs.
- Identification of critical problems and work out solutions within specified time frames.
- Ensuring errorless drawing generation.
- Coordinate with the team for relevant inputs in the generation of layouts / drawings.

Miscellaneous:

- Ensures compliance with quality,



safety & environmental standards as per ISO 9001, 14001, 18001.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Draftsman / NCTVT from a reputed Institute.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering / project / process / heavy engineering industry.
- Must have experience in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Inventor drawings handled independently.
- Good exposure to line layouts, foundation layouts, structure assignments, especially of continuous furnaces.

Technical Competencies:

- Thorough knowledge of drawings, drafting standards, and engineering standards.
- Good understanding of Line layouts, foundation layouts.
- Good knowledge of equipment related to Mechanical/Chemical.
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Inventor/SolidWorks.
- Good understanding of hand-sketches, views, and equipment drawings.
