We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for our Weld Shop in India. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the welding operations, ensuring high-quality standards, and managing a team of welders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations of the weld shop
- Supervise welding activities and ensure quality control
- Train and mentor junior welders and staff
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
- Maintain inventory of welding supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with production teams to meet project deadlines
- Monitor and report on welding performance and efficiency
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a welding or fabrication setting
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with welding equipment and tools
