Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fresh Produce Procurement Executive to support the sourcing and procurement of Fruits & Vegetables (F&V;). The role involves working closely with suppliers, farmers, mandis, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement of quality produce at competitive prices while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure fresh fruits and vegetables from approved suppliers, farmers, wholesalers, and mandis in Northern India ( specifically from Rajasthan , Haryana , UP , Himachal Pradesh) .
- Monitor daily market prices, seasonal availability, and supply trends.
- Negotiate prices, quantities, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Coordinate with warehouse, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ensure procured produce meets defined quality standards and food safety requirements.
- Track purchase orders,
supplier performance, and delivery compliance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, and vendor documentation.
- Support inventory planning to minimize stock-outs, wastage, and shrinkage.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and current suppliers.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in fresh produce procurement, agri-sourcing, retail buying, or category management.
Required Skills
- Understanding of fresh fruits and vegetables, grades, and quality parameters.
- Understanding of post-harvest handling and cold chain operations.
- Knowledge of local produce markets, mandis, and supplier network
