Job Summary

Studio Image Works is looking for a Video Editor who will be responsible for creating audio-visuals with high visual and creative impact. The audio-visuals required would be for a variety of audiences and activities in public health and behavior change socio-development domains, under a multiple variety of tools such as digital and social media, mid and mass media, advocacy, events exhibitions, outdoor media, corporate communications, brand and corporate identity, while following client branding guidelines. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

- In partnership with the visual artists and creative copywriters, develop conceptual creative ideas for socio-developmental campaigns, across all channels and platforms.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, etc.)
- Familiarity with special effects, motion graphics, animations (2D 3D);
- Ability to proactively develop recent styles, formats of video delivery to cater to different mediums and audiences.
- A collaborative attitude to co-create with a team of copywriters, illustrators, video production specialists, account executives, multimedia and communication specialists.
- An outstanding capacity to explain complex concepts clearly through visual storytelling.




- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Audio Editing
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.

Key pointers

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a video editor/ AV production specialist/ AV visualizer, or a similar role in an agency/ media house. Desired: Knowledge of animation would be a plus point. Education: Degree/ Diploma in Film Studies, Cinematography or a related field from a reputed institute/ university
