Delhi Public School, Gaya is seeking a passionate, qualified and experienced PGT – History to join our academic team.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES-

TEACHING AND LEARNING RESPONSIBILITIES-

- Demonstrate a genuine passion for History and inspire students to understand its relevance.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to different learning abilities.
- Use effective teaching methods, including Audio-Visual aids, maps, timelines, primary sources and digital resources.
- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical and research skills.
- Encourage students to analyse and interpret historical events, sources and perspectives.




- Provide additional academic support and revision sessions when required.
- Assess, record and monitor student progress as per school guidelines.
- Promote positive behaviour and build strong, respectful relationships with students.
- Stay updated with developments in History and modern teaching practices.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS-

- Master’s Degree in History along with B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification.
- 3+ years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indian and World History.
- Ability to teach History at the Senior Secondary level (Classes XI–XII) .
- Solid communication, classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to develop students' analytical, research and critical-thinking abilities.
- Experience with CBSE Board preparation will be an advantage.
