We are looking for an experienced Accountant for a 3-month temporary assignment to focus on account reconciliation, clearing opening balances, and resolving outstanding accounting issues .
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile opening balances, customer, vendor, intercompany, and General Ledger accounts .
- Investigate and transparent old, outstanding, duplicate, or unexplained balances .
- Review balance sheet accounts including advances, deposits, prepayments, and accruals .
- Identify discrepancies and pass approved adjustment/rectification entries .
- Prepare reconciliation statements and maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Report unreconciled items and issues requiring management action .
- Complete all assigned reconciliation and cleanup work within the 3-month period.
- Prepare a final handover/status report.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce .
- 3–5 years of accounting experience , preferably in reconciliation/accounts cleanup.
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliations and double-entry accounting .
- Good Excel skills .
- Tally ERP experience preferred .
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle large volumes of accounting data.
Preferred
Immediate availability and previous experience in accounts cleanup/reconciliation projects will be an advantage.
