Role Description
We are seeking a energetic and experienced Statistics Tutor for a full-time remote role. The tutor will actively engage students through structured online sessions, deliver concept-driven lessons for international curricula, and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes by strengthening analytical reasoning, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver live online Statistics classes for international curricula (IB / AP / SAT / other global boards)
- Explain statistical concepts clearly using real-world datasets, case studies, and practical applications
- Build strong conceptual understanding in areas such as probability, data analysis, inferential statistics, and hypothesis testing
- Design and execute customized lesson plans based on individual student learning needs
- Create and share high-quality teaching materials, worksheets, and practice assessments
- Assign, review, and evaluate homework, tests, and statistical projects
- Facilitate interactive discussions to enhance critical thinking and quantitative reasoning
- Provide additional academic support to students requiring extra assistance
- Maintain strong professional relationships with students and parents
- Track, document, and regularly report student progress and performance
Skills Required
- Proven experience teaching Statistics for IB, AP, or other international curricula
- Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics across multiple levels
- Ability to simplify complex statistical methods and formulas into easy-to-understand explanations
- Excellent communication and student-engagement skills
- Strong written communication with high attention to detail
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Minimum 2+ years of teaching experience (formal or informal)
- Comfortable teaching students in an online environment
- Proactive, adaptable, and student-centric approach to teaching
Timings
- 8 hours a day between 6 AM–9 AM and 4 PM–10 PM
- Week off can be given on Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
