Job Description Curriculum Developer - English
n Company: Codeyoung
n Industry: EdTech
n Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru
n Experience: 1–3 Years
n Shift Timing: 11 AM - 8 PM
n Working Days: 6 Days/week
n About Codeyoung
n Codeyoung is one of the world's leading EdTech companies, empowering school students with future-ready skills through live online learning. Our mission is to inspire curiosity and help learners build confidence in coding, mathematics, and other essential subjects through engaging and interactive learning experiences.
n About the Role
n We're building English programs that measurably move students — not content that merely looks good on a slide.
n As our Curriculum Developer – English, you'll sit at the intersection of academics and business. You'll own how our English curriculum is designed, assessed, and delivered across KG–Grade 10 and standardized test prep (Digital SAT and beyond) — while also helping shape how the category grows.
n Half your week is academic craft: designing learning progressions, writing and reviewing assessment items, building lesson resources. The other half is strategic: benchmarking competitors, reading learner data, supporting launches, and partnering with marketing, sales, and product to turn strong curriculum into a solid category.
n If you're an English specialist who thinks like a product owner (or a product person with genuine academic depth), this role is built for you.
n Key Responsibilities
n Curriculum Design & Improvement
n n Design, build, and iterate English curriculum across grade levels and test-prep tracks, mapped to frameworks like CCSS, ACARA, UAE MOE, Cambridge, IB, and CBSE/ICSE
n Define learning outcomes, skill taxonomies, and scope-and-sequence documentation
n Refine curriculum using learner performance data, mentor feedback, and market benchmarks
n n Assessment & Question Bank Development
n n Build and maintain high-quality English question banks across grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing
n Design diagnostics, formative checks, and summative assessments
n Author Digital SAT / SAT Verbal test-prep items matching official difficulty and format standards
n Write explanations and rationales that teach — not just mark right or wrong
n n Content Creation & Review
n n Produce student-facing lesson decks, worksheets, and learning resources
n Review and quality-check all English content for accuracy, consistency, and grade-appropriateness
n Own content quality standards and style guides across the pipeline
n n AI-Assisted Content Generation & QA
n n Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate drafting and item creation — with rigorous human QA on every output
n Build reusable prompt templates that speed up production without lowering quality
n n Category Growth & Cross-Functional Work
n n Partner with marketing and sales on academic proof points, demo content, and enablement assets
n Contribute to new product launches, from academic blueprint to go-to-market
n Conduct competitive benchmarking across US, Canada, UAE, Australia, and UK
n Analyze learner data in Excel/Google Sheets to spot curriculum gaps
n n Requirements
n n 1–3 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, educational content creation, assessment/question bank development, or English teaching/training
n Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, English Literature, Linguistics, Education, or related field
n Exceptional command of English grammar, writing, and comprehension, with sharp proofreading skills and attention to detail
n Solid understanding of learning outcomes, curriculum frameworks, and student-centric pedagogy
n Working proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Docs, Canva, and Gamma
n Daily hands-on comfort with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
n n Preferred Qualifications:
n n Standardized test experience — Digital SAT, SAT Verbal, IELTS, TOEFL, AP English, IB English, Cambridge English
n EdTech product background
n Market research, competitive benchmarking, or cross-functional project management experience
n Prompt engineering / structured AI use for content production at scale
n n Why Join Us:
n n Real reach, real impact — our English programs run live 1:1 across the US, Canada, UAE, and Australia. What you write Monday is taught to a student by Thursday.
n Own a category, not a task queue — this isn't a content-factory seat; you'll help shape what the English business becomes.
n Academics taken seriously — we build to the Bloom 2 Sigma standard rather than just talk about it.
n AI-native by default — work with a team that treats AI as a serious production tool.
n Range — curriculum, assessment, growth, research, and launches, all in one seat.
n Speed — small teams, short decision loops, visible ownership from week one.
