Job Purpose

To plan, execute, and monitor sheet metal production processes to ensure output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets, while driving process improvements, machine utilization, and shop-floor discipline in line with the plant's manufacturing goals.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and oversee day-to-day sheet metal production activities including cutting, bending, punching, welding, and fabrication to meet production schedules.




Ensure adherence to production plans and coordinate with PPC for machine and manpower loading.
Monitor and improve process efficiency, cycle time, and machine utilization on sheet metal lines (CNC turret punch, press brake, laser cutting, welding stations, etc.).
Ensure product quality by enforcing in-process checks, resolving rejections, and driving root-cause analysis for recurring defects.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams to minimize downtime and material wastage.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing) on the shop floor.
Supervise, guide, and train workmen and operators to build technical capability and ensure secure working practices.
Maintain production records, MIS reports, and daily production/rejection data for management review.
Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory requirements, and factory regulations on the shop floor.
