JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Software Specialist to join our Lifecycle Management (LCM) Team as part of a 24-month apprenticeship program.
This role is intended for recent graduates in Computer Science, Biomedical or related disciplines who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in software design control, medical device lifecycle management, and platform sustainment activities.
The apprentice will work closely with experienced engineers and gain exposure to the end-to-end lifecycle of regulated medical devices, including software maintenance, platform upgrades, operating system patching, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Key Responsibilities:_
Prepare, coordinate, document post-production software deliverable updates in accordance with established procedures,
collaborating closely with stakeholders.
Ensure all revisions are accurately reflected in the designated document repository and the appropriate Design History File (DHF).
Collaborate with both onshore and offshore Software Verification and Validation (V&V;) teams to provide necessary inputs for test cycles and support post-test documentation updates.
Support audits, regulatory, and compliance activities by gathering, analyzing, and delivering requested information. Ensure documentation is updated in alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
Partner with the Lake Forest and India software development teams to support development efforts and ensure timely delivery of associated software development artifacts.
Contribute to software development, maintenance, and lifecycle management activities for medical device products.
