Educational Qualification Mandatory
PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Preferred
Postdoctoral or industrial R&D; experience in lithium-ion batteries.
Experience with commercial lithium-ion cells and battery chemistries (NMC, LCO, LFP, NCA, etc.).
Experience with battery companies or advanced electrochemical laboratories.
Experience Requirements
3+ years of research or industrial experience in electrochemistry and lithium-ion batteries.
Hands-on experience with lithium-ion cell characterization & electrochemical systems.
Proven experience in designing & conducting experiments.
Experience with metal recovery and battery material processing is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Electrolysis Process Development
Design and execute electrolysis experiments for transition metal recovery.
Develop and optimize electrochemical separation processes.
Investigate electrode materials, electrolyte systems, and operating conditions.
Study current efficiency, cell voltage, and energy consumption.
Optimize electrolysis parameters for selective metal recovery.
Experimental Design and Execution
Independently conceptualize and structure research programs.
Develop experimental plans and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Execute laboratory-scale experiments and optimize process variables.
Maintain detailed experimental records and technical documentation.:
Analyze data and establish reproducible methodologies.
Electrochemical Characterization
Perform and interpret.
Cyclic Voltammetry (CV)
Galvanostatic experiments
Potentiostatic studies
Charge-discharge studies
Current efficiency measurements
Coulombic efficiency analysis
Research and Innovation
Generate recent concepts and process improvements.
Conduct literature reviews and technology benchmarking.
Collaborate on scale-up and pilot plant development.
