We are looking for an experienced Operations Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for a leading Electronics Manufacturing (EMS/ESDM)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Operations Head to oversee end-to-end manufacturing and operational activities at our electronics manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in EMS operations, production planning, supply chain coordination, process improvement, and team management.

The role requires a results-driven qualified capable of driving productivity, operational efficiency, quality compliance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Operations Management

- Oversee overall plant operations including production, planning, quality, maintenance, stores, and dispatch.
- Ensure smooth execution of manufacturing activities to achieve production targets and customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, and utilization.

Production Planning & Control

- Coordinate with planning teams for production scheduling based on customer demand forecasts.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

Process Improvement

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and reduce waste.
- Drive cost reduction and operational excellence programs.

Team Leadership

- Lead cross-functional manufacturing teams including production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse operations.




- Mentor and develop team members to improve operational performance and accountability.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and process controls.
- Support internal and external audits related to ISO and customer compliance requirements.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and reduction in defects/rework.

Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
- Ensure smooth coordination between stores, production, and dispatch teams.

Maintenance Coordination

- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machine uptime and preventive maintenance execution.
- Support continuous improvement in equipment reliability and plant efficiency.

Reporting & KPI Monitoring

- Prepare operational MIS and production reports.
- Track KPIs such as:
- OEE
- Productivity
- Rejection Rate
- Downtime
- Delivery Adherence
- Inventory Accuracy

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in EMS / Electronics Manufacturing industry.
- Strong experience in plant operations and manufacturing management.
- Good understanding of:
- Production Planning
- Supply Chain Coordination
- Quality Systems
- Lean Manufacturing
- Inventory Management

Preferred Skills

- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes.
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

- Proven ability to manage large manufacturing teams.
- Experience handling high-volume production environments.
