Your Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior API Engineer to design, build, and operate APIs and the underlying platform infrastructure at Alter Domus. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and platform operations — building well-crafted,



production-grade APIs while ensuring they run reliably at scale on Kubernetes.

This is a senior individual contributor role with a transparent growth path into Solution Design. We are looking for someone who thinks architecturally, takes pride in building foundational systems that others build upon, and is ready to grow into broader technical leadership over time.

Your Responsibilities

API Development & Standards
Design and develop production-grade APIs using Python and FastAPI, following RESTful principles and OpenAPI specifications
Build foundational platform APIs (tenant management, user APIs) that serve as building blocks for the wider organisation
Establish and maintain API standards across the organisation — versioning strategies, error handling patterns, authentication flows, and documentation practices
Design APIs with an architectural mindset — considering how they will evolve, scale, and be consumed by mul
