We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to join our Integration team in the Data Analytics Product Area. This role plays a key part in designing, developing, and supporting the data pipelines that power insights and operations across Swiss Re's finance division.
You'll work on end-to-end data engineering solutions, build data pipelines, create data models, and integrate data from a variety of sources into our enterprise data platform using technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
Your Main Responsibilities
Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Design and implement data pipelines and models across multiple relational databases
Develop data integration solutions using REST/SOAP APIs and event-based architectures
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted data expert
Collaborate with product owners and team leads to improve business processes and architecture
Apply Agile and DevOps practices throughout development and deployment cycles




Ensure documentation, customer communication, and timely delivery of technical solutions

About the Team
You'll be part of a globally distributed Integration team, working with a Product Owner based in Bangalore. The team focuses on delivering creative integration solutions for Finance using a lake house architecture. Python and PySpark are the primary languages used for large-scale data processing, with a focus on modern cloud services.

Requirements :
5–8 years of experience in data engineering
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Lake
Solid understanding of relational databases like Oracle, Azure SQL, or Postgres
Experience with API integration (REST/SOAP) and event-based systems
Solid problem-solvin
