Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues across multiple platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and query execution issues. Diagnose issues related to replication, data corruption, and storage optimization.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to uncover root causes.
Develop and execute comprehensive backup and recovery strategies.
Collaborate with software development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
Monitor database performance and implement improvements as needed.
Manage database access, roles and security policies.
Stay up to date with the latest cloud-managed database technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills Needed to be Successful
bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a related field and at least 5 years of applicable skilled experience
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or Engineer, with a focus on Oracle databases, schema design, and product development
Experience with monitoring with Oracle Enterprise Manager
Experience with DataGuard and Oracle DR/BC configuration
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with healthcare and/or laboratory software is highly desired
Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards
Experience with cloud database platforms; Azure managed database experience is highly desired
Experience in implementing high-availability solutions such as clustering, mirroring, and replication
Experience with high traffic and highly available website architectures and operations Familiarity with database monitoring tools and automation techniques for proactive issue resolution.
