Roles & Responsibilities:
Supplier Evaluation and Selection:
Evaluate potential elastomer suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and production capacity.
Collaborate with procurement teams to select vendors that meet the company's requirements and standards.
Supplier Auditing:
Conduct regular audits of elastomer suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Identify areas for improvement and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
Performance Management:
Monitor the performance of elastomer suppliers through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and cost.
Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track performance over time.
Quality Assurance:
Establish quality control processes for incoming elastomer materials.
Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Technical Expertise:
Utilize in-depth knowledge of elastomer materials, properties,
and processing techniques to provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in elastomer technology.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in supplier engineering or quality engineering roles, with a specific focus on elastomers.
Mandatory Skills:
Proficiency in evaluating elastomer materials, understanding their properties, and familiarity with processing techniques.
Experience in supplier evaluation, auditing, and performance management.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
