The Key Skills Required.
Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching technologies of 5 years and above.
In-depth understanding of networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, RIPV2, 802.11, QoS), etc.
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
Network Planning, Design and Implementation experience in HLD and LLD
Throughout knowledge of IPv4/v6 migration techniques, policy languages
Solid understanding of routing and switching products and technologies
Experience with firewalls, internet VPNs, SDWAN, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Experience in reverse engineering and problem solving
Strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator.
CCNA or CCNP certifications is a plus. Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes, like, SLA, Change/Release Management. Experience in using ticketing tools such as service now, remedy will be an added advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




Should possess very good knowledge in the areas of :
establish the networking workplace by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
design and implement current solutions and improve resilience of the current setting
maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable
