Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Engineer who will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling Fold Health’s healthcare platform. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with robust leadership skills, capable of guiding engineering teams, setting best practices, and driving the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead design and architecture discussions for scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines.
Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Product Development
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to build and deliver end-to-end features.
Drive the development of backend microservices, APIs, and frontend applications.
Ensure HIPAA and other healthcare compliance in all technology solutions.
Innovation & Strategy
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (AI/ML, healthcare data standards, cloud-native).




Contribute to roadmap planning and provide input on technical feasibility and effort estimation.
Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for recent product features and integrations.
Quality & Performance
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of applications across web and mobile platforms.
Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code review processes.
Monitor and optimize application and infrastructure performance.

Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10–15 years of hands-on engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a lead/architect role.
Robust expertise in Node.js (NestJS), ReactJS, React Native, Python (preferred), and TypeScript.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, data pipelines, and healthcare data (EHR, claims, ADT, FHI
