I. JOB DETAILS
Job Title
Senior Resident –Anaesthesiology
Reporting Supervisor
HOD – Anaesthesiology
II. JOB PURPOSE
· To provide & ensure direct or indirect accurate medical attention to all cases needing anesthesia before any surgical procedure. To provide high quality Pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and Post-operative anesthesia care in the hospital.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To effectively interface with patients, technicians, nursing staff and service users.
To demonstrate effective application of technical & skilled knowledge.
To ensure pre, INTRA and post-operative care of all the cases done in the unit.
To be available for emergency calls of the O.T. & the I.C.U
To supervise all nursing/ para-medical & non-medical staff to maintain high standards.
To actively participate in CME and Journal clubs & conferences.
To co-ordinate on matters relating to Provision of infrastructure and
maintenance support, selection of medical consumables and equipment to be procured
To facilitate teaching and training programs of O.T. Nurses, Technicians,




I.C.U. staff.
To ensure optimum utilization of resources by himself and subordinates
To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational
issues & policies of the respective area
To Comply with patient safety policy
To ensure secure utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.

IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Total support to OT – Operation
Nil incidence in hospital borne infection in OT & Critical Care Anesthesia
No surgery to be postponed due to non-availability of anesthetist.
100% statutory compliance
TATs as per NABH & IMS guidelines.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
· MD – Anesthesia
