Description
OnSemi is seeking a Director of WBG (GaN) Driver Design, RECENT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, Power Management, to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. This group is responsible for development of Power management products including DC-DC PMIC/POL, Multiphase controllers, Dr. MOS, AC-DC converters, LED drivers, SiC drivers, Switches and efuses for consumer, industrial and automotive applications. In this role, you will hire and lead a high-performing team of 10 - 12 engineers in the development of next-generation Wide Bandgap (GaN) driver ICs. This leadership role is pivotal in driving multi-product execution in parallel, ensuring innovation, quality, and timely delivery of advanced power management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Mentor, inspire, and grow a diverse team of analog/mixed-signal IC design engineers
Assign projects, provide technical guidance, and oversee execution across multiple products simultaneously
Actively participate in hiring, talent development, and career progression planning




Lead architecture and circuit design of GaN driver ICs for high-speed, high-efficiency power conversion
Define IP serving multiple products for efficiency reuse and develop these with quality to meet the market need
Ensure robust design methodologies for WBG devices, addressing challenges such as high dV/dt immunity, EMI mitigation, and rapid switching
Work with and provide guidance to physical designers and monitor the progress of IC layout
Oversee design verification, silicon evaluation, and production release
Develop schedules, resource plans, and track execution across multiple concurrent projects
Evaluate intermediate and final project results to ensure technical objectives are met
Provide full clarity to the team on goals, milestones, and deliverables
Work closely with systems engineers, applications engineers, and marketing to define product requirements and roadmap
Collaborate with validation, product engineering, and test engine
