Role

Join our Satellite Structures team as a Structural Design Intern. You’ll support the design,

analysis, and integration of lightweight aerospace structures, contributing to the robustness

and manufacturability of GalaxEye’s satellites.

Responsibilities

â Assist in structural design, CAD modeling, and preliminary sizing.

â Support FEA simulations (static, dynamic, vibration) under guidance.

â Contribute to payload enclosure and satellite structure optimization.

â Prepare engineering drawings, documentation, and reports.

â Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design compatibility.

â Participate in integration and environmental testing activities.

Requirements
Must-have Qualifications

â Final-year student (4th year) or recent graduate in Mechanical, Aerospace or related domains.

â Solid foundation in mechanics of materials, structural dynamics, and fatigue

analysis.

â Proficiency in CAD tools, specifically SolidWorks.

â Exposure to FEA software (Simcenter Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent) is a

plus.

â Strong communication and teamwork skills.





Good-to-have

â Prior project or internship experience in structural design/analysis.

â Experience as part of student project teams (SAE, Aero Design, Robotics,

CubeSat, Formula Student).

â Knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes (machining,

composites, bonding).

â Familiarity with GD&T; and drawing standards.

â Interest in aerospace qualification standards and testing methods.
