The Assistant Manager – Business HR will act as a key HR partner for the plant/operations team, ensuring smooth execution of core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement, payroll coordination, and L&D; initiatives. The role requires a hands-on HR qualified with prior experience in the manufacturing industry, capable of managing workforce dynamics in a plant workplace.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordination
Manage end-to-end recruitment coordination for plant roles (blue-collar & white-collar)
Work closely with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements
Coordinate with consultants/vendors for sourcing candidates
Schedule interviews, track candidate status, and ensure timely closures
Maintain recruitment trackers, reports, and dashboards
Learning & Development (L&D;)
Identify training needs in collaboration with business/plant managers
Coordinate internal and external training programs
Ensure execution of induction and onboarding training for recent hires
Track training effectiveness and maintain training records
Support skill development initiatives for shop-floor employees
Attendance & Payroll Coordination
Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and shift schedules
Coordinate with payroll team/vendors for accurate salary processing
Validate attendance inputs, overtime, and statutory deductions
Address employee queries related to salary, attendance, and leave
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory norms
Employee Engagement & Relations
Plan and execute employee engagement activities at plant level
Drive initiatives for employee motivation, retention, and morale
Act as a point of contact for employee grievances and concerns
Support disciplinary processes in line with company policies
Promote a positive and inclusive work culture
HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain employee records and documentation
Ensure adherence to HR
