Qualification: ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspection and measurement of components as per drawings and specifications.
Operate and handle Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for dimensional and geometric measurements.
Operate Contour & Roughness Measuring Machines for surface profile and roughness measurement.
Operate Height Master / Height Gauge for precision dimensional inspection.
Operate Video Measuring Machine (VMM) for accurate measurement of components and features.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain measurement records.
Ensure proper handling and care of precision measuring instruments and equipment.
Identify measurement deviations and report non-conformities.
Follow laboratory procedures,
quality requirements, and safety practices.
Maintain equipment and working area in positive condition.
Support calibration and verification activities of measuring instruments.
Required SkillsGood knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T;.
Basic understanding of dimensional metrology and inspection methods.
Practical knowledge of CMM, VMM, contour, roughness and height measurement equipment.
Ability to analyze measurement results and prepare inspection reports.
Valuable attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
PreferredExperience in a metrology / dimensional inspection laboratory or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of CMM software such as CALYPSO, PC-DMIS or equivalent will be an advantage.
Freshers with valuable technical knowledge and willingness to learn may also apply.
