Role & responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution
Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Ensure achievement of production targets as per customer requirements.
Monitor Bright Bar manufacturing processes such as:
Peeling
Grinding
Drawing
Straightening
Polishing
Cutting
Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
Reduce production downtime and improve productivity.

Process & Quality Control
Maintain product quality as per customer specifications and standards.
Coordinate with QA/QC department for inspections and testing.
Monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish, straightness, and mechanical properties.
Ensure rejection and rework are minimized.
Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.

Manpower Management
Handle shift operations and manpower allocation.
Train operators and supervisors on SOPs and safety practices.
Monitor discipline, attendance, and team performance.
Build a positive and productive work culture.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination
Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure proper machine condition and availability.
Monitor critical equipment performance and efficiency.





Safety & Compliance
Ensure implementation of safety standards and PPE usage.
Follow plant safety rules, ISO standards, and company policies.
Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Ensure housekeeping standards (5S) are maintained.

Cost & Productivity Improvement
Control production cost and reduce wastage/scrap.
Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Implement Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
Monitor energy and consumable usage.

Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily production reports and MIS reports.
Maintain production records, downtime reports, and rejection analysis.
Coordinate with planning, stores, dispatch, and quality department

Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Bright Bar manufacturing process
Knowledge of alloy steel grades and heat treatment
Production planning and shop floor management
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Leadership and team handling
Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
Understanding of ISO, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing
Positive communication and coordination skills
