nAbout the Role
nStartUp Movers is seeking a qualified and agile Company Secretary to join our Corporate Compliance & Advisory team. The role offers an chance to work closely with high-growth startups and established enterprises, providing strategic legal, regulatory, and governance support across diverse business environments.
nKey Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 4–5 professionals handling corporate compliance, legal, and regulatory matters, ensuring high standards of execution and collaboration.n
Provide expert advisory to clients on corporate laws, including fundraising, compliance frameworks, FEMA regulations, and intellectual property rights (IPR).n
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring the timely resolution of queries and the delivery of high-quality advisory services.n
Oversee and execute fundraising transactions, including private placements, debt issuances, and related regulatory compliance.n




Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Companies Act, FEMA (FDI/ODI), Trademark laws, and other allied frameworks.n
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders such as legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory authorities.n
Monitor regulatory updates and proactively advise clients on risk mitigation and compliance strategies.n
Drive process improvements and contribute to building scalable compliance frameworks for startup clients.n

nEligibility & Qualifications

Qualified Company Secretary with a valid ICSI membership.n
Minimum 2+ years of experience in team handling within a consultancy firm, PCS firm, or similar setting, preferably serving startups.n
Strong working knowledge of corporate laws, FEMA regulations, and governance practices.n
Practical experience in fundraising transactions and regulatory filings.n
