We are looking for an Assistant Manager — Freight Forwarding to head import-export freight operations across air, sea (FCL/LCL), and multimodal shipments for the wing. You will manage carrier relationships, rate negotiations, and end-to-end shipment execution, with a transparent path to progress into wing leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day freight forwarding operations for import and export shipments (air, sea FCL/LCL)
Negotiate freight rates and contracts with shipping lines, airlines, and NVOCCs
Coordinate with overseas agents/partners for seamless cargo movement
Ensure timely booking, documentation (Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, Shipping Bills), and vessel/flight scheduling
Track shipments end-to-end and proactively resolve delays or exceptions
Liaise with Customs Clearance and Local Transportation teams for door-to-door delivery
Monitor freight costs against budget and flag variances
Maintain relationships with key shipping lines/airlines for preferential rates and space allocation
Prepare MIS reports on shipment volumes, transit times, and cost trends
Requirements
Bachelor's degree; certification in Logistics/Shipping/Export-Import Management preferred
6+ years of experience in freight forwarding/shipping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Robust knowledge of FCL/LCL operations, INCOTERMS, and shipping documentation
Established network with shipping lines, airlines, and freight agents
Proficiency in shipping/freight software and MS Excel
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
