Associate Professor of Surgery
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the assigned surgical specialty, using various methods such as lectures, seminars, workshops, and online platforms.
Develop and update course syllabi, curricula, and teaching materials, ensuring alignment with the departmental and institutional standards and objectives.
Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes, providing feedback and guidance to improve academic performance and foster skilled growth.
Supervise, mentor, and advise residents and fellows on their clinical training, research projects, and career development.
Conduct original and creative research in the field of surgery, securing external funding and grants as needed.
Publish research findings and insights in reputable journals, books, and other academic outlets, maintaining a high level of scholarly productivity and impact.
Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars,



presenting research papers and exchanging ideas with other experts in the field.
Engage in clinical service and leadership, serving on various committees, boards, and councils within the department, faculty, and hospital.
Collaborate with other faculty members, researchers, and external partners on interdisciplinary and cross-institutional projects and initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the department head or dean.

Requirement
An MD/MS degree and board certification in surgery or a surgical speciality.
