A Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and preparing guest rooms and related areas to ensure a comfortable, secure, and pleasant stay for guests, typically in hotels, resorts, hospitals, or guest houses.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Cleaning
Clean and tidy guest rooms according to company standards.
Make beds and change bed linens.
Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
Vacuum carpets and mop floors.
Clean bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.

Room Preparation
Prepare rooms for arriving guests.
Replace used towels and toiletries.
Replenish room amenities such as soap, shampoo, tea, coffee, and drinking water.
Ensure all room equipment is functioning properly.

Inspection and Reporting
Inspect rooms for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Report damaged furniture, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Report lost and found items according to hotel procedures.

Guest Service




Respond politely to guest requests and inquiries.
Provide additional supplies such as towels, pillows, or blankets when requested.
Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality.

Public Area Maintenance
Assist in cleaning corridors, stairways, elevators, and other public areas when required.
Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas organized.

Safety and Hygiene
Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly.
Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste.
