Job Description
Position Overview
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at interior fit-out project sites. The role involves implementing HSE policies, conducting site inspections, training workers, and promoting a safety-first culture to minimize risks and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce safety regulations and company policies on project sites.
Conduct daily site safety inspections and report non-compliance.
Develop and implement safety procedures specific to interior fit-out works (e.g., electrical safety, working at height, confined spaces).
Ensure all workers, subcontractors, and visitors comply with PPE requirements.
Organize safety induction and toolbox talks regularly.
Investigate incidents,
near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
Maintain and update safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and permits to work.
Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors for HSE compliance.
Ensure protected use of tools, equipment, and materials on-site.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in safety audits.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering / Occupational Health and Safety
2–7 years of experience in a similar role in the interior fit-out or construction industry
Robust knowledge of local HSE laws and standards
Excellent communication and training skills
Ability to identify hazards and recommend effective preventive measures
Attention to detail and documentation
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
