Qualification
B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
OR Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
Candidates with relevant experience in Chemical / API / Pharmaceutical manufacturing plants will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Handle routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems in the chemical/API plant.
Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters, control valves, sensors and switches.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
Calibration and testing of various field instruments.
Troubleshoot PLC/DCS-related instrumentation issues and coordinate with the automation team.
Attend instrument-related breakdowns and minimize plant downtime.
Maintain calibration records, maintenance reports and instrument history.
Assist in installation, commissioning and loop checking of current instruments.
Ensure instrumentation systems are maintained in accordance with plant safety and quality requirements.
Follow all EHS, GMP and plant safety procedures applicable to chemical/API manufacturing.
Desired Skills
Positive knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS, control valves, transmitters and calibration.
Ability to read P&ID;, instrument datasheets and loop diagrams.
Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a chemical/API/pharmaceutical plant will be an added advantage.
