Job Description: Primary Mathematics Teacher

Position: Primary Maths Teacher

Experience Required: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in teaching primary classes

Roles & Responsibilities:
Teach Mathematics to primary students (Classes 3 to 5) using age-appropriate and engaging methods.
Build robust foundational concepts in numbers, operations, measurements, shapes, and problem-solving.
Plan lessons as per the curriculum and learning outcomes.
Use activity-based learning, teaching aids, manipulatives, and ICT tools to enhance understanding.
Prepare worksheets, assignments, and simple assessments to monitor student progress.
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support when required.
Maintain academic records, assessment reports, and student portfolios.
Encourage logical thinking, curiosity, and confidence in Maths.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
Maintain a safe, positive, and disciplined classroom workplace.
Participate in school activities,



training programs, and staff meetings.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (any discipline with Mathematics background preferred).
B.Ed
Training or experience in primary pedagogy will be an advantage.

Desired Skills:
Strong conceptual clarity in primary Mathematics.
Child-friendly approach and patience.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to make Maths fun and relatable.
Willingness to learn and adapt to recent teaching methodologies.
