Role & responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide counselling to patients regarding the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions.
Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness based on patients' health conditions and medication profiles.
Maintain and manage inventory, including medication storage and control of expiration dates.
Monitor the effectiveness of medication therapy and make recommendations to healthcare providers as necessary.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
Participate in patient education and health promotion programs.
Keep up-to-date with new medications, treatment protocols, and pharmacy practices.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D from an accredited institution.
Valid pharmacist license to practice in the region.
Solid knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills.
Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
